Sustainable Arts & Crafts Month

Throughout January, we’re bringing fun & educational activities to the Barn Café! Reusing materials & resources, our goal is to teach children how to create arts and crafts in a sustainable way.

We will have lots of resources to use, but we also encourage you to bring any recycled or unwanted materials to the farm that can be used by yourselves or others. This could be anything from old Christmas wrapping paper and ribbons, to cardboard boxes and egg cartons, to empty toilet and kitchen roll tubes!

What is involved?

Over in the Barn Café, we have allocated tables specific for fun arts & crafts activities! You will find different how-to guides for making different crafts, which can be used to take home and decorate your house, or even to give as a birthday present. Crafts range from…

  • Make your own Windsock! Take it home and hang it outside to watch it dance in the wind
  • Nature landscapes! Combining natural and recycled materials, make your own beautiful landscape picture
  • Picture frames! Personalise your photos with a hand-made frame
